See The Bagel. Be The Bagel.

Lessons from the 64 squares...

"Life is about perspective and how you look at something... ultimately, you have to zoom out."-Whitney Wolfe Herd

"Chess blind" is term used to describe how a player misses an otherwise obvious good move because they are concentrating too hard on one part of the board. It is important to sit back ("zoom out") and see the board in its entirety to make sure you aren't missing a checkmate in what seems like a hopeless situation.

Simon Sinek tells the story of two runners finishing a 10k race. At the end of the race, the sponsors are giving away free bagels. The first friend says, "Let's grab a free bagel." But the other responds, "But the line is too long." To which the first friend says, "But it's a free bagel!"

Perspective. No matter how great the reward, how promising the goal, how beneficial the outcome, or how fresh the bagel 😊, there will always be those who can only see the obstacles, the problems, the reasons you can't...the crowd. Conversely, there are others who, regardless of the issues facing them, will always see the prize at the end of the struggle. Be the latter. "Zoom out" on life. Change your perspective. And never take your eye off the bagel! #NOTG #ChessInRealLife #Perspective #ConsistentMotivation #BagelFocus
