And A Little Child Shall Lead Them

Lessons from the 64 squares...

I love teaching children. So often they teach me much more than I teach them. Yesterday during a class, an 8 year old boy had a breakdown because he lost (to me) multiple times. He said he'd never be "good enough". Before I could calm him down, the other students (as young as 6 and as old as 11) rallied around him. They wouldn't let him feel sorry for himself ("Stop saying what you can't do. You have to believe you can.") but they also supported him ("I just want to encourage you. You're a WINNER! Yay!") He dried his tears and didn't give up...and I never had to say a word.

We don't get thru this world alone. As there are multiple pieces on a chess board that work together to achieve checkmate, we should all have a team moving to get us to our greatest good. As a leader, build up your team to the point that when a crisis occurs, the TEAM moves to get it resolved. If YOU lead with compassion, confidence and vision, your team will reflect those qualities in return. Leading in love is not weak. It is the epitome of strength! ❤ #NOTG #ChessInRealLife #AndALittleChildShallLeadThem #Compassion #LeadInLove
